While on vacation on a lake a divorced physician Rudolf becomes acquainted with Laura, a school teacher whose husband is serving time in prison. What brings the two together is their yearning desire for a harmonious relationship. Rudolf is straightforward in making his choice. Laura has to choose between loyalty to her alcoholic husband or a new life with Rudolf. boy.
