A Hero's Life

Évelyne Vadeboncoeur goes to her mother’s home with her daughter to meet a German POW who had worked on their farm during the war and was sent back to Germany in 1946. The portly nostalgic old man turns out to be very different from the figure in the stories she grew up with.
